EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE
Our resident Guidance Counsellor Avril has a wealth of experience having working in several urban and rural secondary schools over the last 14 years. Avril also has a vast range of experience in the Pharmaceutical and Engineering sectors. She is also a member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors of Ireland.
Avril is registered with the PSI and accordingly is qualified to undertake psychometric testing in accordance with the Psychological Society of Ireland. Avril is registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland and is Garda vetted.
SERVICES OFFERED
Subject choice and testing to ensure correct most relevant subject selected for Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle
Assistance with grant applications for third level – PLC’s, Institutes of Technology and Universities
Using Multiple Intelligence tests and a suite of other psychometric, aptitude, ability and personality tests to assess a clients suitability for a particular career
Consultation around options on courses for the CAO (Central Applications Office)
Assistance with DARE(Disability Access Route to Education) and HEAR (Higher Education Access Route to Education)
Assistance with access applications to colleges and scholarship applications including sports scholarships
Indepth knowledge of apprenticeships and traineeships available
One to one guidance, testing with student (2hours) with follow up 1 hour if required
At the end of the career guidance consultation clients will leave will a report of recommended suitable courses and career options

€140 – Career guidance consultation, interest, personality, multiple intelligence (2 x 40 min sessions)
€275 – Comprehensive full report (10 assessments) on aptitudes, interests, personality, including 2 hour guidance consultation. Client completes suite of psychometric tests combined with interest tests.
